Create GEDCOM: Researched, Pulse Non Researched, Kern Non Researched, Dee Researched, and Boltz/Pulse...
Training
Complete basic training on Software
Import and merge files
End product; Researched, Non Researched files
Names
Merge Duplicates - Possibility corrected in above step
Reference Numbers
Verify Integrity - May have to revert to 2012 or 16 Gedcoms to get a clean copy, 2014 may be corrupted - essential for this to be correct for media filing system
Facts
Merge Duplicates
Media Both Researched and non Researched
Dust off media file and clean up - reorder by Reference number - most new software make links directly to this file
Retrieve media from FTM that is not duplicated in media file
Rebuild links in new software - 38,000 links possible - do main file first, could be 7,000
Citations Researched for now
Good opportunity to clean up and use new standards
Repair/Rebuild citations to New Standards - 1700 sources in FTM, looks like a problem too few, may be better to just build for a clean start
Testing Researched for now
Test Software output to HTML time lines
Criteria to pass:
Training - Completed training for software product
Names - Duplicates removed Both files
Facts: one fact per fact with all citations linked to it
Citations: In proper form, at least one citation per fact
Evidence: Rank for each fact
Final Observations
Compare this software to FTM performance - needs to be maid soon after the conversion is finished
 
Apologize/Inform all those I have recommenced FTM to in the past and help them to convert to this new software
