Another program worth checking into is MyHeritage Family Tree builder.
I am not a fan of it but their might be some that are.

I began using MyHeritage.com to begin my family trees. When I downloaded
their free software, uploading my tree seamlessly worked well, but changed
the ability of others to change my tree online, even they are also able
to edit (just three people). Because we also opted to renew and extend
our tree to unlimited people, somehow we three still cannot all access
the file online. So there are some drawbacks. However, having said that,
I love the ability to do SmartMatching and Research and access lots of
special databases through it. As with any software, there will always
be glitches and updates to deal with. I have recently decided that I might
try the Legacy software, as MyHeritage is based out of Utah (not India)
and Legacy is promoted heavily through MyHeritage. I will definitely keep
my old file, and most likely will enter each person manually into Legacy,
as I am still very much a newbie to genealogy and have made many rookie
mistakes. With 7000 people, it will take time, but I want to be consistent
in my research and try to document more appropriately my sources and anecdotal
information.

Where you might have issues in MyHeritage is if you have media. Not
100% but it appears MyHeritage might still embed media items instead of
linking to them.

The society exist on the dues of its members, sales of its publications,
and donations.
