Issues Related to Changing Genealogical
Software Products

In December 2013 It became necessary to change Software vendors from
Family Tree Maker to another choice, The following is the process we
went through to evaluate vendors and make that change
|
Plan: Use Delphi Research Method to evaluate options - panel of experts
will primarely be individuals screened into "Technology for Genealogy"
FaceBook group - Data collection period was from 12/6/2013 to 12/15/2013
|

|
Note: one software package "Legacy" had just released a
new version, and the users were exploring the new features so the trafic
for that package was up over normal.
|
|
Number of unique Individuals: 52 - 7 respond on 2 or more packages -
one eliminated for bias, and not included in the 52
|
|
|
|
|
|
The society exist on the dues of its members, sales of its publications,
and donations.
