Referring the the Vaughan Name in the index
Hi Robert, Thank you for this. I'd not come across this index before. Could you tell me what sources are encompassed to compile this index? My grandfather (Donald Gene), his parents (Sampson L. and Lillian Mae), and Sampson's father (John L.) are all in there. I have visited your library 2 or 3 times over the years, so I may have some of the information, but maybe not all of it. I see various uncles (Bill, Dewey, Charles Teddy, etc.) and several cousins as well. Depending on what the sources for all these might be, I may need to come by and make some more copies! I am going through each of your e-mails now. Thank you! :)

Updating the information: Hi Robert, Thank you for this. It looks great. My grandfather's name was Donald Gene Vaughan. I was off on the years a bit; he was a boxer from 1948 to 1950, rather than 49-52. I couldn't remember off the top of my head, but should have checked his obit.

I asked David Beall about the detail of the news papers scanned at the McAlester library that are only available on sight - I was particularly interested if they had been imaged only or in addition OCR'ed

The news papers at the McAlester library are Images only, so the user has to know which edition look for or browse all the editions
